It’s best to begin cleaning all hard flooring with a sweep or vacuum to capture any loose grit and particles. Once this is completed the floor is ready for machine scrubbing or wet mopping for smaller areas. Daily automatic scrubbing is recommended, with regular machine buffing necessary on high traffic vinyl floors.
We recommend using the manufacture’s dilution ratio of cleaning agent to water. Overuse of chemicals is a common mistake. A correct and accurate amount of solution will keep the flooring clean and is best for our environment.
Mops are colour coded in relation to which rooms they can be used in. Red mops are used for toilets and bathrooms, mops marked with green are used in the kitchen, blue mops are for all general areas, yellow for infectious areas (kept in sick bays) and white for operating theatres. Flat mops are used in medical and clinical rooms (colour coding system still applies).
It’sThe best maintenance for maintaining a clean carpet is daily vacuuming with a power head. Every now and then the carpet will need to be steam cleaned. Best practice starts with pre-spraying the carpet with cleaning solution, then rinsing with clean, hot water. It’s important to note that mixing cleaning agent in the water tank during the steam cleaning process may not give the best results.
